This is one single equation about weight loss that you should remember in order to get your ideal body and keep the weight off. This is a very simple fact that even a 7-year old can understand. But sometimes people cannot seem to see the problem even if it is already staring them at the face.
Is this because we tend to neglect the simple things since we believe the answer to our problems will come from scientific, highly-researched and sophisticated weight loss regimen wrapped in a nice packaging?
Come to think of it, you don’t need to be a scientist to know that eating more and exercising less could make the weighing scale the source of your problems. In life we simply need to make wise and calculated decisions to reach a goal. This time, the ultimate goal is losing weight. Here are 5 unconventional ways that you can use in order to attain your weight goals without depending too much on what technology has to offer:
Inspiration
The first one on the list is nothing to do with what you eat, but it is everything you need to become successful in losing weight. Having the right inspiration will give you the drive and determination to reach your goal. Just don’t fall for the wrong inspirations like wanting lose weight so that your crush will notice you, because chances are, if he doesn’t, you’ll be broke!
Eat Your Breakfast
How many times did you hear your Mom say this to you when you were still a kid? Mothers really know best because if you think skipping breakfast will make you thinner, it won’t. Skipping any meal for that matter is not a wise thing to do because you will just be forcing your body to “save up” and store fats instead of burning them outright.
Water Up
You might want to take it easy on soda and other beverages other than water if you truly want to lose weight and keep it off for good. 8 glasses of water daily is good for you, but if you can manage to drink more, the better. In fact, drinking a glass of water 10 minutes before a meal will make you feel full and lessen your food intake. This trick is very easy yet at most times very effective.
Dinner Plates Matter
Next time you are going to a party, try using a smaller plate when eating. This serves two ways: one, it will force you to limit the content of your plate, and unless you’re OK going back and forth on the table with all the eyes watching you, chances are you’ll stop after the first plate. The same is true when you eat at home, once you’ve finished eating what’s on your small plate, your mind will start to think that you are done eating and feel full.
Be Active
It doesn’t matter what your physical capacity or your energy level is at right now. Move and be active. You do not need to be a tri-athlete, just start moving in any possible way. Instead of asking somebody to buy at the store, stand up, walk and do it yourself. Skip the elevators or escalators, use the stairs. Anything that will make you sweat is good for you so keep moving.
Natural ways to lose weight has been tried and tested since time immemorial. Our ancestors didn’t have all the magic pills, and other devices to keep their weights down. So have some faith about the natural ways, it might be all you need to get into that lovely pants you’ve always dreamt of.
