If you are uttering most of these words lately, chances are you might have low storage capacity of your, no not flash disks or hard drives, but your brain! If you do, then it’s about time to sharpen up or forever suffer the effects of poor memory.

 

In our constant day to day life, we are required to have a keen eye and keen mind on things that we do. We use our brain in everything and for this we need our brain to function properly and keep functioning in its optimum level so as not to falter and create potentially damaging and dangerous situations.

 

Most of the time however, we tend to neglect taking care of our brains. We are satisfied about the fact that our brain will work no matter what we do, and that everything is automatic for the brain to function. This affects how the mind handles stress and eliminates it. It is a common fact that chronically stressed people are often hounded by forgetfulness. Power Naps

A recent study done by students inUniversityofCaliforniasuggests that taking at least one-hour nap is enough to bolster the brain power by as much as 40%. The evidence shows that those who took an afternoon nap, significantly improved their ability to understand and learn new things taught thereafter than those who did not sleep. Think of it as like rebooting your computer. See that after rebooting it, it seems to go run faster and glitch-free.

 

Listening while Sleeping

Did you know that your brain continues to learn even after you have fallen asleep? A Little Fat on your Diet Can Do Wonders for the Brain

While those that are really concerned with their figures dread fats in any form, it is a better idea to leave a little of the good fat it in your diet. Japanese researchers have attributed chewing gum to better focusing on the task at hand. It also increases alertness among subjects of the study. Although there is no clear link between chewing gum and better memory, it has been concluded that chewing gum increases the heart rate, which in turn leads to better oxygen circulation throughout the body including the brain. I guess as long as you throw the gum properly after you chew it and not put it under the table, you’re all good.
